The Kingfisher OWB is an outside the waistband holster based on the fantastic design of Richard Heinie's "DOJ" holster and then developed and refined, by the late Lou Alessi as the "Heinie DOJ/s". This is Nightingale Leather's take on this stylishly designed outside the waistband holster.

My Kingfisher OWB holster is designed with a an optional 15º forward cant or a 0º straight drop design. Lowered, scooped "Speed Cut" in the front of the holster, just below the ejection port to facilitate a smooth, fast draw. A narrow trailing "wing" that is designed to wrap around the hip just past your center belt loop on your pant to pull the grip tight into your side to anchor your holster down and to facilitate concealment. Open-top wrap around leather reinforced front to aid in one-handed holstering.  Molded in sight channel is incorporated to protect your front sight. Optional sweat shield/bodyguard upon request.

The Kingfisher OWB holster design is a good general-purpose holster that works well for concealment or range use. We can make it a straight drop neutral 0º rake or “FBI” 15º forward grip rake with the muzzle to the rear.

The Kingfisher OWB holster is designed & accommodates an RMR/Red Dot cut for firearms that need room for an optic/red dot.
